Mayor Jeffrey Nalupta Advocates Lakbay-aral Among Barangay Officials
Officials of the 43 barangays in the City of Batac are in for educational tour. They will have the opportunity to travel sanctioned by the city local government unit under the “Lakbay-Aral” program.
In one of the People’s Day meetings, Mayor Nalupta underscored that the privilege to see other places was envisioned so that barangay officials can observe best practices in the sites they would visit and eventually apply what was learned in their locality. The activity is in line with the policy of the national government for improved government service through continuing education and capacity building, not to mention the objective of the City Government to strengthen the bond and promote interaction among barangay officials.
Last October 2 and 3 weekend, ABC President James Paul C. Nalupta led officials of the 15 barangays namely Magnuang, Maipalig, Quiom, Biningan, Pimentel, Capacuan, Naguirangan, Payao, Mabaleng, Tabug, San Mateo, Parangopong, Sumader and Camguidan in launching the program visiting and touring the scenic locations and attractions of the City of Manila and its neighboring towns and cities.
Other barangays are scheduled to take their turn before the year-end.
