CGB Blood Donation Drive 2015: Sharing Blood in the Feast of Sacrifice
A few minutes of your time, a lifetime for someone else… A moving sacrifice for somebody’s life may only take a bit of one’s time. So why should we hesitate the little time we have if it would mean a lot to the recipient? We may not be described as “galloners” in blood donation, but our gesture to share a part of our self is a gargantuan sacrifice which is valued for a lifetime by the end receiver. Doing so will require only a little time but huge difference is created by the mere act of responding to the call for help. Only our sincere acts of kindness can make other people’s burden lighter so let us be generous in whatever way we can.
The City Government of Batac (CGB) Blood Donation Program through the City Health Office in partnership with the Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital and Medical Center (MMMH & MC) is in its fourth year of continuous support and commitment to the National Voluntary Blood Services Program of the Department of Health. This program was actively participated in by the CGB employees, barangay constituents and other volunteers who selflessly donated their precious blood. It is through this program that the CGB has a steady and ready supply of blood at the MMMH & MC that greatly helps the people from the 43 barangays in times of emergencies.
